Several Aspects That Should Be Paid Attention To to Ensure the Masonry Quality of Rotary Kiln

In the process of masonry of firebricks for rotary kiln, in order to ensure the quality of masonry, the workers should ensure the following points:
1.Before masonry, the rotary kiln body must be kept clean and dry. The sand particles must be removed, and the corroded barrel must be polished and dried.
When masonry, the larger head of the lining brick is close to the kiln body and the uneven part of the welding joints should be polished and leveled. The deformed part of the kiln body should be leveled with refractory mortar. Ensure that the kiln bricks can contact with the kiln body closely, and there should be no gap between them.
2.Before bricklaying, use a spirit level to find the center position of the kiln body at every 3 meter in the axial direction of the kiln. Take two adjacent kiln shells as the end point to draw the center line of the kiln body. Based on the starting point of bricklaying at the kiln head, draw a circle that is perpendicular to the center line of the kiln boady at every 1 meter as reference, to prevent the refractory bricks in them same circle from being not on the same vertical plane and lay a good foundation for future masonry.


3.It is strictly forbidden to turn the refractory bricks upside down or horizontally. The joints of small head should not be larger than that of the large head. The maximum width of the joints cannot exceed 1.5mm. Because the thermal expansion of direct-bonded magnesia-chromium bricks is big and each circle of bricks should leave 2mm expansion joints. It need cardboard to compensate the expansion joints and no expansion joints are left in the axial direction. It must be tamped with a rubber or wooden hammer, and the use of an iron hammer is strictly prohibited.

4.The thickness of the lock seam iron plate should not be greater than 2mm. If several kinds of iron plates are used, they should be evenly distributed throughout the lock brick area. The iron plates should not be inserted half into the refractory brick joint, as this will cause the small head is too tightly and the large head is loose.
